One of the primary ingredients in SUNBATH is N-Acetyl Glucosamine — NAG, for short. NAG is sourced from shells and an important part of the protection of a sea creature. Strung together one way, NAG becomes the scaffold of a shell. Strung together with a different partner sugar, it becomes hyaluronic acid — the molecule most responsible for how plump and hydrated your skin looks.
NAG rebuilds hydration from the inside. Skin makes its own hyaluronic acid, but it needs raw material to do it — and NAG is that raw material.
NAG also quiets pigmentation by blocking an enzyme responsible for producing melanin which is part of why it’s linked to fading and helping prevent the kind of sun-triggered dark spots that happen every summer spent outside.
NAG also fills in the gaps between ragged skin cells, and normalizes how cells shed, creating a smoother, more hydrated skin with a healthier response to sun. Bathing in this water-soluble nutrient replenishes exactly where it is most needed.
